Wisconsin Weather

What is Wisconsin Weather?

It all starts here....

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

- Maimonaides

WISCONSINWX.COM believes in you! Our goal is to teach you how to interpret the weather and use that knowledge to become leader in your home, group, or community. We want to build a community of smart, well-informed leaders by bringing knowledge & experience together. We provide Wisconsin with unique, informative, and unbiased content from a scientific perspective.

Believing in You!

If you are new to Wisconsin Weather, throw out every pre-existing notion of what a weather page should be! On the surface we post storm video, forecasts, and recaps. Behind the scenes we are investing in you. The miles we drive, money we spend, and tough situations we encounter is to ensure you have the best insight into Wisconsin's wild weather! This should give you a clear understanding of the reality of weather in this region of the world. Our knowledge is based primarily on experience. Many of us have been through higher education and learned in the classroom but there is no replacement for experience.

We are storm chasers and we practice what we preach. We have a strong belief system and willing to stand up for our ideologies. For many years we have been leaders in the meteorology community and consistently try new things to keep storm chasing moving forward. We believe that when severe weather strikes, you will be able to act appropriately. It is you're responsibility to be informed, but maybe we can help. Communication leads to action. Action is you're job. We believe in you!

We are really not involved with trends, chain posts, SPC outlooks, PSA's, etc. We think and act independently. We want to make sure everything we say and do is meaningful to you. We don't talk just to hear ourselves! We don't hype. We don't over or under exaggerate. We don't manipulate our photography or waste your time with regurgitated forecasts. If it's not in your best interest we won't do it. Think of us as the no-bullshit weather page! Pure information and knowledge.

How did Wisconsin Weather begin?

The idea behind Wisconsin Weather came to me in the mountains of Park City, UT during a six week field-geology course in 2013. I wanted to bring together other enthusiasts, meteorologists, and storm chasers who shared a passion for weather. Together we could give you a unique experience. We could all grow our passion and learn together. It wasn't until recently that we started to define what it means to be a part of our community.

Who are we?

In 2013, we formed the group which consisted of four members. Today we have five members (three originals) with a well-developed social dynamic in constant communication 24/7. All of us have been passionate about weather since we were kids. Our involvement has always been purely voluntary. We operate the facebook page and website in our free time. We all have full-time jobs, families, and lives outside of chasing storms that need constant attention. We work as a team and do it because we love weather; that's it and that's what I think makes us special.

We are looking to add more team members who share our goals and vision. If we feel you can add to the team we will contact to you!

Where are we going?

There is only one constant in weather, and that's change. There will be changes over the next year. We continue to work on storm videos, website, and strategies. We go where our weather passion takes us. We would like to get involved with formal research again and willing to participate in any projects relating to Wisconsin weather! The one thing that will never change is our vision and core values. I literally can't wait to unleash our community of informed leaders on the world!!!

Thanks for visiting!
