A weak upper level disturbance will produce accumulating snow over Wisconsin on Sunday, mainly during the afternoon hours. 1-3" is a safe bet for most places. 3-6" is expected roughly from Eau Claire to Marinette. Snow flurries could linger into Monday.
Light to moderate snowfall rates with this storm. I predict a zone of 3-6" roughly from Eau Claire to Marinette. Maybe one or two spots pushing that 6" mark with the best chances across southeast MN or western WI (Eau Claire area). 1-3" for most of Wisconsin with the lowest amounts in southern Wisconsin. PLEASE NOTE - snowfall amounts may be too low across Illinois, my focus is on Wisconsin.
START TIME (approximate)
Starting mainly before noon along the Mississippi River and along a developing band in northern Wisconsin. Most of Wisconsin will start between 12-3PM.
We are working on a detailed forecast for a stronger storm on Monday night/Tuesday. Either tonight or tomorrow I plan to share. Stay tuned!

ABOUT OUR MAPS
We operate independently. Unless otherwise stated; our snow maps are created by hand daily by our team. These predictions are based 100% on our personal interpretation of hundreds of model forecast simulations and gut feeling. We use snowfall ranges because snowfall amounts will always vary from one city to the next beyond our ability to forecast this far out. I attempt to smooth out the changes and variability to give you the cleanest and most accurate prediction for the entire region. Each detail is considered and carefully thought out. We also create our own daily thunderstorm outlooks and heavy rain forecasts in the summer so please check back in spring if thunderstorms are more your thing!
