0The first operational monthly forecast results are in and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I've been testing a new strategy to produce these forecasts. Good start.

March forecast predictions vs. actuals.
Precipitation - Our forecast emphasized southern and eastern Wisconsin over northwest area's. This trend was pretty clear from the first forecasts.
Temperature - This forecast bounced around a bit. In the end I was on the right side, the warmer side. Didn't pull the warmer trends far enough north into NW Wisconsin and Minnesota...probably based on uncertainty around precipitation type. Storms ended up being mostly rain. Did have the N-A(normal to above) label so I will declare this a win.
Now lets hope April goes well too!
