0My first chase of 2019 on June 1. The storms were nothing crazy but a great practice run. The plan is to keep making episodes like this and improving the story telling aspect. I've done time-lapses for so long and will continuing doing them but time-lapses don't connect with people. Waiting for the big events to occur. Probably the slowest storm season I've ever seen. Reminds me of December 2018 which was exceptionally calm. Expecting a back-loaded storm season.
CHASING STORMS #17 - First Chase of the Year - June 1
The target popped up on forecast models in the couple days prior. Initiation was early and storms went outflow almost immediately.
CHASING STORMS #18 - Unexpected Intercept - June 5
I was cooking chicken on the grill when the Severe T-storm Warning was issued. The family and I took off north on HWY 76 intercepting near HWY 10/76. I was 20 minutes late.
